What are Keys?

Keys grant users exclusive access to a creator's content, private messaging features, and private entries. Users have the option to purchase keys to obtain exclusive access.

Fractioned Keys

One of the most significant challenges on social finance platforms is accessing keys. Definitely addresses this by introducing fractionalized keys as a solution. You can purchase a minimum of 0.01 keys; each content creator's last key cannot be sold.

Initialize Key Account

If you wish to monetize your content or purchase keys from your favorite creator, you'll need to initialize your key account, which incurs a 10 SEI cost (to prevent spam and bot accounts). To initialize your account key, you will require a referral code.

After initializing a key account, you will directly purchase your initial keys.

We do not recommend transactions where custom scripts or external websites deploy Definitely’s contract within the front end. This is especially pertinent in the context of slippage, where users are at risk of overpaying while using custom scripts.

In our frontend, we have implemented safeguards to ensure that users are not subject to paying more than necessary.
